Color Club tape mani

I absolutely love the creamy pink color of Color Club's Blushing Rose, however I do not like the formula. It was streaky with two coats and on some fingers even streaky with three coats. I'm bummed because it's my first time trying Color Club and I had hoped to buy more colors.

Color Club: Blushing Pink & Sweetpea China Glaze: Spontaneous

I used blue painters tape to create a striped accent nail (it reminds me of fruit striped gum!) I love the look, but you really have to make sure each coat is fully dry or your tape will pull off the polish. By the time I got to the last color I had 5 layers of polish on my nail.

Rite Aid Haul - Color Club

Color Club: Blushing Rose & Sweetpea, Sinful Colors: Outrages & Lets Meet Wet N Wild: Penny For your Thoughts

I've seen Color Club swatches all over the place and was bummed I couldn't find them in my area. Imagine my shock when I walked in to a Rite-aid and they had a whole pretty display of them! I found the Blossoming Spring 2012 collection. The colors are soft and dreamy. I wanted ALL of them, but settled for the two pinky colors. The display was full, but they didn't have Diamond Drops =( I plan on doing a graduated mani with the two Color Clubs and the Sinful Colors polish. They had most of the nail polish displays above eye-level, so I have a feeling that's why they were untouched.

I also found two Wet N' Wild displays Chrome and Neon Crackle. I skipped over the crackle, but I did snag a Chrome polish. The Chrome polishes are a bit more expensive at $3.99 a bottle so I want to make sure I like it before buying more.

I picked up the random yellow polish because I don't have any and want to do a summery water marble mani soon.

And last, but not least I picked up Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Protector Finishing Powder. Holy hell with a loooong name like that it better work! It was mentioned on a YouTube video for being a good Mac MSF dupe.

Nail Polish Storage

As you can see my current storage method is just not working out! I've been researching some different storage options like shoe boxes and drawer units. Ultimately I decided to try a scrapbook storage cube. Michael's had storage products 40% off and I had a 20% off my entire purchase coupon making the cube only $16.79. A deal if you ask me!

All you need is a cube and some shelf liner to keep the bottles from sliding around.

I dumped out all my polishes and sorted them by brand. I was tempted to sort them by color, but I think it will be easier to keep from buying duplicates this way.

Tada! Here is my cube all filled up. Well thankfully it isn't totally FULL =)

Bottom Drawer: Kleancolor, Claire's, Nails Inc, Finger Paints, Spoiled, Wet N Wild, & Red Carpet Manicure.

Middle Drawer: Sally Hansen, Milani, Ulta, Revlon, Loreal, & Essence.

Top Drawer: China Glaze, Zoya, Orly, Sephora by Opi, Essie, and Nicole by Opi.

I decided to put all my tools, base coats, top coats, and Konad plates in a bin on top of the drawers.
