Sally Beauty Haul - lots of Orly!

Orly: Neon FX french manicure, Spazmatic, & Be Brave.

Went to Sally's hoping to find the new Orly Flash Glam FX collection. It was hard to choose only two colors! They ended up being $5.99 each! If I would have know that before I checked my receipt I would have bought more. The french manicure set was a steal too at $8.99.

Sally Girl: No Name & China Glaze: Flirty Tankini

The China Glaze Summer Neons collection was picked over, but I did manage to snag Flirty Tankini. I needed a nice navy blue so I grabbed a Sally Girl polish. I think the sticker with the name fell off the bottle! Seeing the two bottles together I'm thinking of a blue mani with Tankini as an accent nail. Or maybe Tankini with a blue stamped design.

What are your favorite polishes from the Glam FX & Summer Neon collections?

Julep Mystery Box

Julep: Fast Dry Topcoat, Amy, Gayle, January, & Daylight Defense lip balm.

I've really been enjoying my Julep boxes. I tend to pick boxes with more products than polish. It's a great way to try some of their pricier items. I got the Sicilian Orange Foot Soak in one of my recent boxes and it smells great! Back to the mystery box =)  I like 2 out of the 3 polishes so no complaints here! I am adding "January" to my stash of giveaway goodies. The lip balm feels good on my lips, but I am not a huge fan of minty lip products. It isn't OVERLY minty so I still use it.  Did you order a Julep mystery box?

Sugar Cookie Bars

This is the first recipe review I am sharing on Sugared Polish. One of the reasons I chose the name Sugared Polish for my blog is because I love to bake and always seem to have some sort of sugar on my polish. I plan on posting more recipes I've tried along with polish hauls, manis, and product reviews.

I saw this recipe for Sugar Cookie bars all over Pinterest and tracked it down to Love & Olive Oil's blog. I've made her cookie dough truffles before (to die for) so I knew I couldn't go wrong with this recipe.

The only changes I made to the recipe was I halved it (there's only two of us so 32 bars was out of the question!) and baked it in a square 9"x9" pan. My pan is dark nonstick so I baked the bars at 350 for about 20 min. I cut the bars in to 9 (BIG) pieces, but you could totally cut them smaller. I *might* have dug through my sprinkles and picked all of the pink hearts out of Valentine sprinkle mix for the red jimmies. The bars ended up being tasty and super easy. Much less work than individual cookies and the original recipe makes enough to share.

Have you baked anything delicious recipes lately? Feel free to leave links in the comments. I love trying new recipes!
